The Andaman District’s municipal council and largest town in the Andaman Islands, Port Blair is the capital of the Nicobar and Andaman Islands which is India’s union territory. It is located on the South Andaman Island’s eastern coast and is the island’s main entry point. The headquarters of the Tri Service Command is also located in the city, and it is also the Indian Navy’s major base and home to more than just a few museums.

Those who visit the area must not miss out on the Cellular Jail as well, where guests can examine the Death House and the torture instruments that bring the heroic journey of India’s struggle for freedom to mind.
Indian Airlines has flights between Chennai and Calcutta on a rotation basis. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the Calcutta flights go to Chennai with a stopover in Port Blair. There are also flights to Port Blair from Chennai through Jet Airways. There are also connecting flights to Port Blair from India on a daily basis, with flights available to and from Delhi, Madras, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.
