SilkAir is a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines and is based in Singapore. SilkAir operates regular passenger services from its hub at Singapore Changi Airport to 31 cities in Asia. The airline operates an all airbus fleet, which consist of Airbus A320 and Airbus A319 aircraft.
SilkAir only two travel classes on its flights and these are Business and Economy Class. Business class cabins features leather seats, and lots of legroom. SilkAir Economy class cabins feature comfortable seats and 12'' of legroom. SilkAir passengers are offered the choice of Oriental and Western cuisine as well as a wide selection of books and magazines. Passengers can also rent video-on-demand systems during their flights.

With a KrisFlyer membership, passengers can earn miles, which can be redeemed for benefits including priority airport check-in, Gold lounge access and upgrades to a higher travel class on Silk Air and Singapore Airlines flights or selected members of Star Alliance airlines.
The airline has code share partnership with Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Air India and Garuda Indonesia. Additionally, SilkAir is the owner of the package tours company Tradewinds Tours and Travel. SilkAir flies to the countries of Philippines, Singapore, China, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam. With top destinations including Danang, Langkawi, Siem Reap, Trivandrum, Kota Kinabalu, Phuket, Cebu, Chiang Mai, Manado, Mataram and Cochin. With its Indian destinations including Bangalore (Bengaluru International Airport), Hyderabad (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport), Coimbatore (Coimbatore Airport), Chennai (Chennai International Airport), Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum International Airport) and Kochi (Cochin International Airport).
