Air India is the national airline of India. The airline recently merged with Indian Airlines & both are now part of the National Air Carriers of India (NACIL). Air India is the largest carrier in the country with a fleet of over 120 aircraft and major hubs at Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai airports.
The airline offers three travel classes on most of its Boeing 747 & 777 fleet including Economy Class, Executive (Business Class) and First Class. Lie Flat (180 degree recline) seats are available on selected 747-400 and 777-200LR aircraft for First Class passengers. All classes offer inflight meals and a range of entertainment options.
Air India is a member of the Star Alliance network and has a frequent flyer programme called Flying Returns. The programme offers the usual benefits of priority check – in, passenger miles and optional non-air travel rewards such as hotel stays.
